Welcome to Out2Tennis, Ireland's largest Gay Tennis Network. Founded originally as Out4Tennis® and part of the OutinIreland® sports group in 2006, the group went through a few changes in 2011 and re-launched itself under the new name Out2Tennis in 2012.
The Out2Tennis group aims to provide the opportunity for members of the gay community and their friends to come together and play tennis, regardless of their playing level while also giving them the opportunity to compete in a few different tournaments annually.
At the moment the group organises three main annual tournaments in which players of all levels of tennis can compete, the primary event being our International GLTA Tournament where we welcome players worldwide to compete in Dublin on the May Bank Holiday weekend every year. In 2013 we will run our 4th GLTA tournament. Many of our players also travel to compete in GLTA tournaments worldwide.
The group organises group tennis sessions in Mount Pleasant LTC (Ranelagh) on Sundays late afternoon. All levels and standards are welcome. Exact dates are notified by email/facebook/twitter. Come along and enjoy a bit of fun on court. The possibility of introducing coaching is also being explored.
- Next Out2tennis social meeting will take place on Sunday 19th May from 16:30 to 18:30 in Mt Pleasant LTC (Ranelagh).
- Congratulations to the Out2tennis team who organised the GLTA Masters tournament last May bank holiday because they won the two GLTA awards they were nominated for: Best Small Tournament and Best Small Tournament Team. Congratulations to Daniel and all his team in this great achievement!
